This is one of those Red Angus offerings that doesn’t come around very often. We’re proud to bring you a mixed group of bred Red Angus cows and bred Red Angus heifers coming straight out of a long-established, no-shortcuts program that has been doing things right for nearly two decades. This is the 19th year of this program, with well over 1,000 head of bred cows and bred heifers sold through it, and the consistency and quality show it. These cattle are flat-out fancy, very gentle, and built around some of the best Red Angus genetics you’ll find anywhere. The kind of cattle where every question you could ask already has a solid answer behind it.
The first group consists of 35 bred Red Angus cows weighing right in that 1,150 to 1,200 lb range, with a strong age spread of four head born in 2021, nine head born in 2022, and twenty-two head born in 2023. They are bull bred to outstanding Red Angus bulls and will start calving the last week of March and wrap up the first week of May. The maternal side of this herd is where things really separate themselves, with the mother ranking in the top 1 percent of all Red Angus cows. These cows come out of a deep, proven genetic base, have been on a long-term modified vaccination program, and have received Guardian, Ivermectin, and Cleanup II. They are very gentle, extremely uniform, and represent some of the highest quality Red Angus bred cows you can buy today. Priced at $4,575 per head and located in Torrington, Wyoming.
Alongside them is a smaller but equally impressive group of nine bred Red Angus heifers weighing 750 to 825 lbs. These heifers are bull bred to proven Kiowa Red Angus calving ease bulls and will calve from the end of April through June 1. While they are not home raised, they come from a ranch that has relied on Kiowa Red Angus bulls for many years, with a strong track record of calving ease and maternal performance. They are very gentle, have received Guardian, Ivermectin, Cleanup II, and two modified live vaccinations, and come from the same trusted seller as the cows. These heifers are priced at $4,075 per head and are also located in Torrington, Wyoming.
