In a market where good, honest cows are getting harder to find, this is the kind of set that still makes sense to buy. We’ve got 142 head of Red Angus and Red Baldy cows weighing 1300-1400 pounds, mostly home raised, running six to nine years old with a mix of six year olds up through 9’s, including about 50 head of F1 white faces. These girls are bred to Red, Charolais, and Hereford bulls and will calve from May 1st through June 30th, the kind that calve out easy and go to work raising good calves without much babysitting. They’ve been ultrasound tested, guaranteed bred, and have received Cattlemaster, Multimin, and Dectomax. Disposition is gentle and they’re used to real ranch life. This is a really solid group of middle aged cows priced right for today’s market, not a bunch of hype, just dependable cows that know their job and do it well.
BIG GENTLE bred cows bred to Wagyu Bulls here’s a real good set to look at.
We’re talking 50 head weighing right around 1,300 pounds, mostly solid-mouth with a few short solids mixed in. These cows are 5 to 8 years old, carrying Schaff Valley influence, and they’re just flat gentle. They’re hot-wire broke, moved daily, and handle as easy as you could ask for. They’ll calve out from April 7th to June 25th, giving you a good, workable window. They haven’t had any vaccines, but this is a quiet, user-friendly bunch that stays together and minds their business. In a market like this, cattle with this attitude and breed-back are priced right and hard to find.
We’re getting close to the end of the year, and anyone paying attention knows bred cows are getting harder to find by the week, especially good, middle-aged cows that are ready to go to work. This is a really solid opportunity to get ahead of that. We’ve got 200 head of working bred cows weighing 1,250 to 1,350 lbs, all three to six years old and right in their prime. They’ll calve from April 1st through June 30th and have been ultrasounded in tight 30-day groups, with different color ear tags marking the month they’re due so there’s no guessing. The group is made up of 40 black cows bred to Topp Angus bulls, 40 Hereford cows bred to black bulls, and 120 red cows bred to red and Charolais bulls. The red and Hereford cows will average right around 1,350 lbs, with the black cows closer to 1,250 lbs. They’ve been properly vaccinated, they know how to work, and this is the kind of big, usable group you can get a lot done with. Load lots are available, the seller will cover trucking up to 500 miles, and with cows tightening up and taxes on everyone’s mind, this is a priced-right buy that makes sense before year end. Give us a call if you want to get a good group of cattle lined up before the calendar runs out.
Here’s a dang good set of bred cows that’s worth slowing down for. We’ve got 100 head of Red Angus and Red Baldy cows, all solid four-, five-, and six-year-olds, weighing right around 1,150 pounds and loading out in just two clean truckloads. Most of these girls are home-raised, with only six or seven bought in, and they’ve been handled and managed right. They’re a mix of AI and bull bred, with some AI’d to 5L Defender and LCOC Augustine, then cleaned up with home-raised, low birthweight Red Angus and Simcross bulls. They’ll calve May 1st through June 30th, setting up perfect for grass. Gentle disposition, good look, and the kind that go to work every day and raise a good calf without much fuss. They’re priced right in today’s market, and when you see them and the calves they’ll throw, you’ll be glad you took a hard look at this set. Just 17 head of 6-year-olds. All sorted out of 125 head!
