Just look at these pairs—they’re 10- to 12-year-olds that absolutely turned my head. They’re in great condition, weighing around 1,200 lbs, and still have plenty of good years left. This group comes out of a phenomenal program that has taken excellent care of their cattle, and it shows. These girls raise standout calves year after year, and they still perform at the top when it comes to being mothers.
The cows have all received Vision 7 and Virashield 6 VL5 vaccinations. The calves were born in April, with a few showing up in early May. Calves have had their 7-way shots, bull calves are banded, and all are tagged to match their moms. Most years, these calves weigh in around 600 lbs by the end of October.
They were bred to quality Red and Black Angus bulls, and they’ve done a heck of a job raising calves that hold up.
