Calf prices are still going up and it takes momma cows to have any of them and right here is the way to get in the game or grow in the game. We have 10 hd of 4-5-6 yr olds, 46 hd 7’s, 6-8’s, 44-9’s, 18-10’s, and 4- 11’s. This set of home raised cows are the deal, the solid Reds and Blks are bred to Morgan Hereford bulls for those glorious baldie calves and the Red and Blk baldies are bred to Cedar Top Balancer bulls, all to calve April 1st for 60 days. They have had the Safeguard wormer, Virashield 6 VL5 and Scourbos 9 at preg check Nov. 2nd. 17 hd are red/red baldies, with the balance blks or blk baldies, they have a body condition score of a +5 along with a frame to weigh 1400-1450#. Now this is how you wean BIG calves in the fall.
